The barrier filter for use with the Nikonos close-up kit (part number BBCU) makes it easy to switch back and forth between fluorescence and white-light photography. It is a custom-cut acrylic filter attached to an adapter that slips onto the attachment rod at the top of the close-up lens and attaches with a nylon set screw. The filter can easily be positioned in front of the close-up lens for fluorescence images, or swung out of the way for white-light images.
