Do grasshoppers fluoresce? They sure do! I was out late at night recently in a friend’s garden looking for subjects and found two different grasshoppers on one tomato plant. They were both very accommodating, staying still even while I moved my tripod around and flashed bright lights at them. Then a third grasshopper showed up while I was shooting. It wouldn’t stay still for its own shot but it photobombed each of my other subjects and then quickly moved away.
